What is belonging? What is the difference between inclusion and belonging? How can those concepts help us and do we need these definitions? Does belonging mean the same for everyone? How can art help us to grasp these concepts?
Researcher Yasmine Kaied will start the evening by framing concepts such as diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging and the way they relate to each other.
Afterwards, artist Mekhitar Garabadian will guide us through his work into his vision of belonging and the influence of migration on someone’s identity.
The evening will be captured by artists Karen Keyrouz and Nour Hifaou.

Hoe kunnen die concepten ons helpen binnen onze organisatie?
Betekent belonging hetzelfde voor iedereen? Hoe kan kunst ons helpen om deze concepten te begrijpen?
Onderzoekster Yasmine Kaied start de avond met een kadering van concepten als diversiteit, inclusie, equity en belonging en de manier waarop ze zich tot elkaar verhouden.
Vervolgens neemt kunstenaar Mekhitar Garabadian ons aan de hand van zijn werk en tijdens een sofagesprek mee in zijn visie op belonging en de invloed van migratie op iemands identiteit.
De avond wordt visueel gecapteerd door kunstenaars Karen Keyrouz en Nour Hifaou.
